Interactions between Sims: Now we are at the most interesting part! The interaction between Sims will be much more realistic! A good example would be the simple chatting between two Sims and a group of Sims. In The Sims 2 and in The Sims 3, when Sims are having a conversation while watching TV, or eating at a table, they do not really move their heads, they stare forward, and they can only have a conversation with the Sim sitting next to them. In The Sims 4 this behavior has been revolutionized into a much more realistic one. Now Sims actually move their heads to look around while conversing and then go back to look at whomever they were talking to. They are also able to expand their conversation to other Sims that are not sitting with them or that have just entered the room. Here is an example of a social group having a friendly conversation (it looks just so much more natural, don’t you think?):
Catalog Mode: As an obsessed interior designer, for me this is the best innovation of this new The Sims title. It is called “Catalog Mode” and it is what we have always known as “Buy Mode.” As the word itself tells us, catalog mode is just like a furniture catalog that will allow us to look through different room styles, select the one that we like more, and place it whole from the catalog into our house. Go ahead now with tumbles and backflips! I have done it too!

In conclusion, let us not forget the action queue. In The Sims 4 there will be an action queue as in all the other The Sims, albeit in this new exciting title, the Sims will pass from an action to another without stopping like robots. They will smoothly stop eating for example, and get up to go watch TV. Great innovation!
